“I found this internet café right by the beach. You should go there sometime. It’s really great. Usually, there aren’t many people around. That day, I was alone. I was looking at the computer screen and answering a few emails, but really, I was listening to the sound of the waves in the distance. I know you like that sound, too.”
“Hmm.”
“Anyway, listen. I was already on my second cup of coffee and had decided to leave within the hour—wearing my nice black down jacket—when this girl arrived. She sat down across from me, opened her laptop, and started pounding away at the keys like a madwoman. Then she took a couple of calls on her cell phone and finally put on her headphones. I mean, what the hell was she doing there?”
